The Centre for Next Gen Discipleship at CCST Vancouver exists to cultivate a vibrant, Christ-centered movement of intergenerational mentorship that empowers the next generation to thrive in faith, leadership, and service.
Rooted in the biblical model of Paul and Timothy, the Centre equips and supports pastors, mentors, and church leaders to walk alongside young people with wisdom, compassion, and purpose.

Our approach affirms that discipleship is not a program but a relationship—one grounded in trust, example, and intentional investment across generations. Through mentorship and shared learning, we seek to form communities where faith is lived, taught, and multiplied.
Mission & Focus
Our mission is to equip, inspire, and resource the church to disciple and empower the next generation. We do this through three main areas of focus:
1. Equipping Mentors and Pastors
We help those who guide others—pastors, parents, and lay mentors—grow in their capacity to disciple the next generation.
Through practical workshops, short courses, and mentorship communities, we equip leaders to understand today’s youth culture and to walk with young people through real-life challenges.
Inspired by biblical role models like Paul and Timothy or Naomi and Ruth, these programs help mentors share faith not just through words, but through life and relationship.
In our Next Gen Ministry Labs, participants learn by doing—experimenting with new forms of ministry, engaging youth creatively, and forming authentic intergenerational relationships.

2. Empowering Next Gen Leaders
We believe the next generation isn’t just the church of tomorrow—they are part of the church today.
Our Next Gen Leadership Initiatives bring together youth and young adults from different churches to explore faith, leadership, and vocation in community.
Through retreats, creative projects, and mentorship encounters, we empower young believers to grow in spiritual maturity and to lead with conviction, compassion, and creativity.

3. Resourcing the Chinese Canadian Church
The Centre also serves as a hub of learning and collaboration for Chinese Canadian churches across the country.
We conduct field research—like our Thriving Spirituality project—to discover what helps young people remain resilient and committed in faith amid cultural and generational transitions.
We then share our findings through public forums, reports, and online resources, helping churches make informed decisions for effective ministry.
Our team also develops biblically grounded, culturally relevant discipleship curriculum tailored for Chinese Canadian contexts—resources that help churches build intergenerational connections and nurture spiritual maturity.
