I joined CCST Vancouver full-time in January 2022. I was born in Hong Kong and grew up in the church. At a young age, I dreamed of becoming a space scientist, but at the age of 14, during the Cultural Revolution, I felt a calling to become a China evangelist. I patiently waited for God’s guidance.
When I was 19, I came to Canada to study Electrical Engineering at the University of British Columbia. It wasn't until I was 24 that I received a renewed confirmation of my calling. I then entered Regent College to be equipped and met individuals who profoundly shaped my life, including Dr. Klaus Bockmuehl, who illuminated my journey in theology. Later, I met Dr. Jonathan Chao, the founder of China Ministries International and joined his work.
Including the later time serving with GETS Theological Seminary, I have spent 34 years in China ministries, focusing on theological education as a response to God’s call to be an evangelist. I chose to study St. Augustine for my Ph.D., hoping to ground Chinese theology in the foundation of Patristics. I hope to complete an 8-volume series on China Theology. Volume 5, which was published in 2024, is titled *Life of Faith Virtue in Divine-Human Relation: A Person Ethics Dedicated to the Chinese People.*
