I focus on the early church, the society and culture of Judaea during the Second Temple period, the history and archaeology of Palestine in the early Roman period, as well as Old and New Testament studies. I served as a research fellow at the Albright Institute of Archaeological Research in Jerusalem, Israel, and as a research assistant to professors at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and York University in Toronto. I have taught Old
and New Testament studies at universities and theological seminaries in Canada, Australia, and Hong Kong.
